Build your confidence for exam day with NCLEX-PN preparation woven throughout the Provo College PN program. From guided study tools and practice exams to personalized coaching from dedicated instructors, you’ll receive the support you need to strengthen your knowledge and succeed on your first attempt.

Students engage with immersive virtual reality experiences that simulate real patient scenarios, allowing them to practice clinical decision-making, prioritize care, and respond to a range of patient conditions in a safe, controlled environment. These interactive tools complement classroom instruction, reinforce key concepts, and help students build confidence before transitioning into clinical settings.

Simulation and skills labs are equipped with industry-standard tools and high-fidelity manikins that replicate real patient responses. Under the guidance of experienced faculty, students practice essential nursing techniques such as patient assessment, medication administration, and vital sign monitoring, gaining hands-on experience that prepares them for real-world patient care.

Nursing continues to be one of the most in-demand and impactful career paths, with employment of registered nurses projected to grow and generate about 189,100 job openings each year as of August 2025, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Licensed Practical Nurses play a vital role in this growing landscape, working closely with RNs and physicians to deliver essential, compassionate care. LPNs assess and monitor patients, report adverse reactions, collect health histories, and support individuals through every stage of treatment, making them indispensable members of the healthcare team. One of the greatest advantages of becoming an LPN is the ability to enter the workforce sooner; Practical Nursing requires less time in school than many other nursing pathways, yet still offers strong job stability and competitive pay.

According to the BLS, as of August 2025, employment for LPNs is projected to grow 3 percent by 2034, with a mean annual salary of $64,150* as of May 2024. And when you’re ready to advance further, you can seamlessly continue your education through the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at Provo College. In many ways, Practical Nursing offers the best of both worlds: a fast track into a meaningful healthcare career and a solid foundation for long-term growth.
