Provo College’s Medical Assisting program will give you the education you need to begin your healthcare career with confidence. In as little as ten months you can quickly get into an in-demand career.

Program Overview

Graduates of the program are eligible to take the Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification exam offered by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA). This program can be completed in as little as 10 months.

Medical Assisting graduates are trained in:

  • Microbiology, hematology, venipuncture, and urinalysis
  • Transcription and charting
  • Patient vital signs, ECGs, and draping/gowning
  • Minor surgical assisting
  • Injections and pharmacology
