PHARMACY TECHNICIAN - Associate of Science Degree or Diploma
A growing senior population has increased the need for qualified, skilled pharmacy technicians to assist pharmacists in accurately dispensing the prescriptions that protect and save lives. Provo College's accredited Pharmacy Technician program will give you the education you need to begin your career with confidence. Pharmacy Technician graduates can choose to work in a variety of healthcare settings such as pharmacies, clinics, and hospitals. With the average graduation time of 12-18 months, you'll quickly get out of the classroom and into an in-demand career.
Just how in-demand are Pharmacy Technicians? The U.S. Department of Labor projects that Pharmacy Technicians will be among the fastest growing occupations through 2014, with a projected need for 332,000 new jobs over the next seven years. (U.S. Department of Labor's Bureau of Labor Statistics, 2006).
