Personal Fitness Training - Diploma
Do you like the excitement and energy of a fitness center or gym environment? Do you like to stay fit and to help others stay healthy and active by designing and implementing personalized exercise, nutrition, and lifestyle programs? Provo College's unique accredited Personal Fitness Training Diploma program combines science with fitness to teach you the skills you need to serve and retain a diverse clientele. With the average graduation time of only 10 months at our American Fork, Utah campus, you'll quickly get out of the classroom and into an in-demand career.
The U.S. Department of Labor projects that fitness trainers and aerobics instructors will be among the fastest growing careers through 2016, with a projected need for 298,000 new jobs over the next eight years. (U.S. Department of Labor's Bureau of Labor Statistics, 2007).

Provo College's Personal Fitness Training program includes a week long boot camp in Las Vegas at the Professional Fitness Institute. You will spend one week near the end of your program learning best practices and training techniques from top name fitness celebrities such as Jay Cutler or Beth Horn. While in Las Vegas, you'll take the National Strength and Conditioning Association's (NSCA) Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) certification exam.
